Wombpose: just like in the belly - A theme blog
A typical Dutch thing, the womb pose. A lot of Dutch midwives show the parents after the first checks how the baby was positioned in the belly. Feet touching their nose, hand next to the head, a little bundle of love. They have been like this for a long long time, so bringing them back in this postion makes them feel calm and safe.
You can feel resistance if you don't 'fold' them right, and when baby was with his hand next to his face in the belly, maybe even during birth, you will see that it is natural to have the hand next to his face all the time. Some babies have crossed legs, others straight with the toes almost touching their noses.
